Nyack is a village located in the town of Orangetown in Rockland County, New York and is about 25 miles north of New York City. The Nyack Library provides complementary educational resources to the community. The village is also home to a campus of Nyack College, a private liberal arts college located on about 100 acres. Nyack College is affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and is home to the Alliance Theological Seminary and offers dozens of majors.

Nyack is home to Nyack Hospital, one of three main hospitals in Rockland County. Nyack Hospital mostly serves the local residents of the communities of Orangetown and provides excellent comprehensive care ranging from maternity and pediatrics to radiology and physical therapy.
